October 24, 2015. Gordon Craig Theatre. Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England. SWE 5th Anniversary Show. The Righteous Army’s grip on SWE had been iron-fisted for months. The rivalry between Nixon Newell and Queen of Southside Kay Lee Ray of The Righteous Army was heating up. Nixon hoped to put a massive dent in The Army’s grip on SWE by taking the Queen of Southside Title away from its first, reigning champion KLR. To do so, she would have to climb a ladder and retrieve the title belt.
This would be a unique ladder match in that it was an intergender tag team contest in which both KLR’s Queen of Southside Title and her male stablemates Speed King Title were on the line. Nixon’s male tag team partner who was competing for the Speed King Title came up short, leaving SWE’s last hope of loosening the Righteous Army’s grip in the hands of The Girl With the Shiniest Wizard.
In the early going, KLR dragged Nixon up a flight of concrete stairs, tossing her down all the way to the ringside floor. Moments later, Nixon would return the favor even more brutally, backdropping KLR onto the stairs. They did not let up on unleashing brutality to each other. The brutality highlight of the night though belonged to Nixon who crashed KLR to the canvas with a Welsh Destroyer off a ladder draped across the top turnbuckle.
KLR was able to get back in the fight thanks to her stablemate. But her climb up the ladder to try and retain the championship was felled by Nixon who toppled the ladder over. KLR fell in a heap to the floor onto the male competitors. With nothing standing in her way, Nixon climbed up the ladder, retrieving the Queen of Southside Title to end KLR’s reign of terror.
