Thankfully, the new ATTACK! 24:7 Champion was about to get a visit from someone he had been a constant annoyance to. C'est La Vie hit. The crowd went wild. Nixon Newell had come to save the day. She was wrapping up her final independent dates, but that didn’t mean she was against winning championship gold for a good cause.

Restoring honor to the championship Shay had stained from simply holding it in his hands for a few minutes was certainly a good cause. On WrestleMania Sunday 2017 the ATTACK! faithful chanted for Nixon to fuck up Shay. Newell would oblique, informing Shay she was going to be his first challenger. As a proper Brit would, Nixon chose to be sporting, offering a handshake. Shay begrudgingly accepted a bit roughly. Nixon responded, biting his fingers, followed by big kick that waffled Shay to the floor.

Shay required security to help him to his feet. Newell climbed to the top rope and landed a moonsault on Purser, crashing him back to the floor with security in tow. Nixon lifted Shay to his feet and struck him, then dragged him around ringside so the fans could take turns giving him chops and slaps to the chest. Back in the ring, Shay slipped under Nixon as she signaled for the Welsh Destroyer. Purser superkicked Nixon in the back, followed by a poisonrana. He kept up the onslaught, spiking Nixon to the canvas with a running DDT.

Nixon got to her feet in the corner, only to be struck with a running elbow. Shay went for another, caught and planted by a big red chokeslam. Pursuer hung his head over the middle rope, horrified at his whoops. Newell struck him unexpectedly with a tiger feint kick I’ll call The Nix19. Nixon ascended to the top rope, crashing down on Shay with a double stomp. Newell sat on the top turnbuckle, setting up a Welsh Destroyer. Shay cut Nixon off with a big kick followed by a jumping DDT. Purser went for a pin, Nixon kicking out a two.

Shay lifted Nixon up, intending a destroyer of his own. Instead, Nixon smashed him silly with a headbutt. The Welsh Destroyer followed by The Shiniest Wizard finished off Shay Purser. 1-2-3. And New ATTACK! 24:7 Champion Nixon Newell. The crowd was happy. A championship’s prestige was restored. Nixon Newell bid farewell to the ATTACK! crowd one final time. But with UK independent pro-wrestling commitments until the end of the month, Nixon knew she’d have to be prepared for potential challengers.
