Arrogant. Selfish. Ill tempered. Caustic. Mean. Officious. She goes by the name Clara Carter. This North Carolina wrestling scene regular, who calls herself "The Queen City Killer", demanded a match, claiming America’s Most Liked Wrestling rarely utilizes her on their shows. She cried a river, she got what she wanted. In fact she got someone who herself had spent a lot of time in 2024 underutilized. But no longer, for she’s now taking opportunities not crying to get them like Clara. The Welsh Dragon. The Girl With The Shiniest Wizard. Nixon Newell.
June 29, 2025. Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Benton Convention Center. AML Wrestling Riddle Me This. Nixon was greeted warmly by the crowd, taking time to slap hands and encourage their chants. Clara and Nixon didn’t waste time going for strong style strikes, smacking each other harder and harder with each. Nixon smashed Clara with a running uppercut followed by a standing double stomp and superkick for two on a cover. Carter cunningly snatched control with a jawbreaker across the top rope followed by an apron driver.
Choking. A lot of choking by Clara. Followed by an impressive show of her power with a delayed vertical suplex. The tide turned in Nixon’s favor when she evaded Clara’s Viper Bomb. Yes, we’re using that name to honor a frenemy from Nixon’s past. Nixon fired off an array of offense, including another running uppercut followed by Cannonboar. Clara snatched control, lifting Nixon up onto her shoulders for a DVD. Nixon slipped off, planting Carter with a sitout gourdbuster followed by nearly taking her head off with a running PK.
Newell covered Carter who kicked out. A moment of frustration cost Newell, who charged Carter in the corner for another Cannonboar, only for Clara to evade. Nixon crashed back first into the turnbuckles, prone this time to be planted by Clara’s DVD. Carter applied a crossface with such a force of brutality that Nixon had to immediately tap. Clara broke the hold but with no bell ringing – more likely just because she’s an awful person – reapplied the hold. Nixon got wrangled back and forth until the referee convinced Clara to break.
It was said by commentary that the timekeeper was scared to death with Clara around so they just didn’t ring the bell. So, the tap alone resulted in a decisive win for Clara Carter. It was the biggest win of her career, which is only three years old as of writing. A landmark moment for her, a tale of caution for others. This Chronicler will admit this was a surprising outcome but still a good fight fought by Nixon Newell.
